Mobile Technologies Continue to Explode

Apple revolutionized the market again with the introduction of the iPad in January 2010. In 2011, Apple has been projected to sell as many as 45 million tablets, and with the introduction of Amazon’s lower-cost, robust Kindle Fire, the tablet market continues to explode. A survey conducted by CIO Insight found that nine out of every 10 organizations in North America with 50 or more employees are in some stage of adopting tablets for employee use (CIO Insight, 2011 Emerging Technology Adoption Trends Survey, October 2011).
